A weighted, knitted draught excluder that sits snugly along the bottom of interior or exterior doors. Blocking the gap under a draughty door is one of the simplest DIY draught-proofing jobs, and a draught-free room can feel comfortable at a lower thermostat setting.

The Energy Saving Trust estimates that draught-proofing around windows, floors and doors across a whole home saves around £55 a year in Great Britain (£80 in Northern Ireland). A single door excluder covers only a small part of that, and no independent source gives a figure for one excluder, so we don’t claim a yearly saving. The EST also notes that a draught-free home may let you turn the thermostat down, which saves more — but that saving comes from the thermostat change.
Figures are for Great Britain unless stated. We cite this guidance independently — these organisations haven’t tested, approved or endorsed this product or our shop.
